SALARY and ACCOMODATIONS
Foreman

Full-time

The successful candidate must have
experience with:
  • running single brood chamber hives
  • raising queens
  • using a Billet loader
  • monitoring for bee diseases
The successful candidate must be:
  • intelligent
  • motivated
  • able to work with hands (handy)
  • able to teach and direct others
  • safety conscious
A Saskatchewan driver's license.
 
Spring
  • shovelling snow off hives
  • checking hives
  • unpacking hives
  • grafting queen cells
Summer
  • catching marking and caging queens
  • extracting and/or stripping honey
  • washing equipment
  • cleaning  honey house
  • loading and unloading trucks
  • scouting new bee yards
Fall
  • feeding hives
  • wrapping hives
  • storing equipment
  • fencing
  • tree planting
Winter
  • shovelling snow over hives
  • manufacturing and assembling supers, frames

  • and other related wooden-ware
  • sorting brood and honey combs
  • repairing equipment
  • rendering wax
  • cleaning pollen
  • making pollen supplement
  • sanding and painting supers
  • cutting wood
Salary: Negotiable

are working at Pedersen Apiaries.

Spring Positions:

Full-time 
2 positions
April 1 - October 31

Willing to work with bees.

A driver's license.

Intelligent and motivated individuals.

While experience is an asset, 
we are willing to train. 

Job will include some or all of the following:
  • checking hives
  • unpacking hives
  • building equipment
  • catching, marking and caging queens
  • grafting queen cells
  • extracting and/or stripping honey
  • washing equipment
  • cleaning  honey house
  • loading and unloading trucks
  • storing equipment
  • many more small tasks
Salary: $12.75/hour

Accomodations:  Some are available on the farm
or we will help you find accomodations while you
are working at Pedersen Apiaries.

Summer Positions:

Part time (3 days/week) 
5 positions
July - August
 

Intelligent and motivated individuals.

While experience is an asset, 
we are willing to train. 

Job will include some or all of the following:
  • extracting honey
  • washing equipment
  • cleaning  honey house
  • loading and unloading trucks
  • storing equipment
  • many more small tasks
Salary: Negotiable
